1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted) or coconut oil
-
1 cup plain low-fat Greek yogurt (or regular yogurt)

1 teaspoon baking powder
-
1/4 cup raw almonds (for topping)
For the Easy Sugar-Free Syrup:
Use sweet and slim syrup
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch baking pan with a little butter or oil.
2. In a large bowl, mix the semolina, 1/2 cup Sweet & Slim (Stevia/Classic pack or 12 opened sachets), and baking powder together.
3. Pour in the melted butter and rub it into the semolina using your fingertips until it forms a sandy texture.
4. Stir in the Greek yogurt until a thick, uniform dough forms. Do not overmix.
5. Press the mixture evenly into the greased pan. Score the top into diamonds with a knife and place an almond in the center of each shape.
6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden, then broil for 2 minutes to brown the top.
8. Pour the syrup over the hot basbousa immediately after baking. Let it cool completely to absorb the syrup before slicing.
